Monsoon Session of Parliament from July 21 to Aug 12

Parliament session to begin on Jan 31

New Delhi: The Monsoon Session of Parliament will be held from July 21 to August 12, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said here on Wednesday.

According to sources, a special discussion is likely to be held on Operation Sindoor and the 50th anniversary of the Emergency.

Moreover, an impeachment motion is likely to be brought against Justice Yashwant Varma in connection with the recovery of a large amount of cash from his official residence. Sources said that if a decision is made to bring the motion, it will be introduced in this very session.

Notably, the Opposition had demanded that the government convene a special session of Parliament over Operation Sindoor. In this regard 16 parties of INDI Alliance had yesterday written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the same.
