Ganderbal: In a remarkable display of community service and discipline, NCC, NSS & Sports volunteers from Government Degree College Ganderbal actively participated in the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani held at the sacred temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal.
Under the theme “Devotion in Action”, 30 student volunteers extended their support to civil administration and shrine authorities by assisting in crowd management, guiding pilgrims, helping the elderly, distributing drinking water, and promoting cleanliness at the site.
Their selfless efforts were appreciated by the public and officials. The team was guided by NCC ANO Mansoor Ahmad Lone, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Jamsheeda Akhter and PTI Dr. Ravinder Kour and Javid Ahmad.
This youth-led initiative reflected the spirit of Seva Parmo Dharma and aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, showcasing the power of student engagement in cultural and civic nation-building activities.
The college administration extended heartfelt gratitude to the district administration, police department, and shrine management for their support and collaboration in this noble initiative.
