Tangdhar, June 4:In a proud moment for the region, Iqra Model Public School Kandi Karnah (IMPSKK) won the Zonal Level Inter-School Under-14 Kho-Kho Final, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Tangdhar. This was the school’s first-ever participation in any inter-school sports event—and they emerged as champions.
The final match was held between Iqra Model Public School and BMS Lountha, with referees Raja Shafeeq and Altaf Ahmad officiating. IMPSKK showcased exceptional teamwork and spirit, clinching a memorable victory. One student from the school has also been selected for the Zonal Kho-Kho Team, adding to the achievement.
Zonal Physical Education Officer Raja Mushtaq Ahmad Khan praised the students and staff for their dedication and performance, encouraging continued participation in sports.
Speaking to the media, Principal Ishfaq Ahmad Mir said,We believe in nurturing students who excel in both academics and co-curricular activities.”
He also expressed gratitude to the J&K Youth Services and Sports Department, Tangdhar for providing this valuable opportunity.
This victory marks a new beginning for IMPSKK in sports, inspiring many more young talents to follow suit.
