Distt Admin Udhampur organises bicycle rally to mark World Bicycle Day 2025

Udhampur: To mark World Bicycle Day 2025, District Administration Udhampur in collaboration with Department of Youth Services and Sports, Social Welfare Department and Education Department organized a Bicycle Rally under the aegis of Fit India Movement and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai flagged off the rally from the DC Office Complex in presence of Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various educational institutions, representatives of local bicycle associations and officials from different departments. Cyclists traversed through prominent locations of the town including Slathia Chowk, Chabutra Bazar, Gole Market and finally culminated at DC Office.
While talking to the media persons, the DC emphasized the alarming rise in drug abuse among youth and urged students to act as Brand Ambassadors for spreading the message of a drug-free society. She further encouraged the adoption of cycling in daily routine to maintain physical and mental fitness.
