Jammu: DIG JKS Range, Shiv Kumar IPS, conducted a visit to border areas and reviewed the security and operational preparedness of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts. The visit was conducted ahead of a VVIP visit in the Union Territory.
He directed all SSPs, ASPs, SPs (Operations), DySPs (Operations), SDPOs, and officers from intelligence agencies to work hard on the ground and ensure all possible measures are taken to thwart the nefarious designs of enemies. He also stressed that all border areas and old infiltration routes be searched, and strict action be taken against anti-national and anti-social elements and OGWs.
He further directed that the public in remote villages and minority pickets be made aware about security. VDGs activation and regular Police-Public meetings in these remote villages were also instructed. (JKNS)
