Rajouri, Jun 3 (JKNS): Authorities at Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri have ordered the shifting of seven medical departments to the old hospital premises at Gujjar Mandi as part of preparations for the forthcoming National Medical Commission (NMC) inspection and enhancement of MBBS seat capacity from 100 to 150.

In a formal order issued by Principal Dr. A S Bhatia a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, it has been conveyed that the relocation plan aligns with NMC norms, focusing on infrastructure optimization and associated bed strength expansion. The decision is also in accordance with directions issued by the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education during her recent visit to Rajouri.
