Udhampur: To finalize the necessary arrangements in connection with ensuing Eid-Ul-Azha festival, a meeting of concerned District Officers was held Monday under the Chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Udhampur.
Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Ashok Nagpure; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh; CEO PDA, Chief Planning Officer and other District Officers besides civil society members attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the necessary arrangements for the celebration of Eid-Ul-Azha. The officials of concerned departments were asked to take measures for adequate drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply, First Aid, deployment of Fire tenders, market inspection to ensure sale of quality eatables of government approved rates and proper sanitation in the city.
To keep a check on overpricing and ensure quality of the eatables, a team of officers was constituted to conduct frequent market inspections.
The Chief Medical officer was directed to make provision of the Medicare facility at Eid Gah and Jamia Masjid Udhampur during the festival days, while District Police authorities were directed to deploy adequate police and traffic personnel to regulate traffic in congested areas.
