DC B’pora reviews implementation of Vibrant Village Prog phase-II

Bandipora: To ensure effective implementation of the Vibrant Village programme phase-II, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri Monday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Mini Secretariat, here.
During the meeting, DC emphasised the need for focused and coordinated efforts by all departments to achieve the programme’s objectives of sustainable development and socio-economic vibrancy in these significant villages. He urged the officers to ensure the timely submission of village action plans and to take all necessary steps for the successful implementation of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted that the aim of the initiative is to upgrade infrastructure in these villages, including all-weather road connectivity, telecom connectivity, on-grid electrification, and television connectivity.
During the meeting, officers discussed key aspects of the programme and identified priority areas for intervention in the identified border villages of the district. The meeting was informed that Divisional Level Nodal Officers and Village Level Nodal Officers have already been nominated to facilitate smooth and effective implementation on the ground.
DC assured that the district administration is fully committed to transforming these border villages in line with the Government of India’s vision of inclusive and strategic border development.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Ex. Engineer KPDCL Bandipora and Manager BSNL, while the SDM Gurez, Ex. Engineer R&B Gurez, BDO Gurez, and BDO Tulail attended the meeting virtually.
