Two Tourists Injured as Vehicle Skids into Gorge at Z-Morh

Ganderbal, May 31 (JKNS): Two tourists from West Bengal were injured on Saturday after their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Z-Morh, close to Ranga in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

A police official told news agency JKNS that the accident involved a Breeza (Anvat ) type vehicle reportedly lost control and veered off the road before falling into a deep gorge.

The injured were identified as Prateek Mandal, son of Shayamal Mandal, and his wife Annu, both residents of West Bengal. They were initially shifted to PHC Sonamarg for immediate medical attention and later referred to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment, he said.

Their condition is said to be stable while police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation started. (JKNS)
