Tourist Helpline service successfully assists Tourist in securing refund

JAMMU: The toll free service of Directorate of Tourism Jammu has provided at hand support to a tourist from Gujarat state, reflecting its reliability.

The Directorate of Tourism Jammu operates a 24×7 toll free multilingual helpline to assist tourists visiting Jammu division to make their journey memorable and hassle free as it provides assistance during the time of distress and can alert concerned authorities, if required.

A tourist from Morbi, Gujarat- Sh. Ashok approached the helpline in the morning and was having issues in securing a refund with a cancelled local service due to the prevailing situation.

The tourist reached out to the Directorate’s Helpline No.18008908457 and the complaint was forwarded to the Tourist Officer, Udhampur- Dr. Rajesh Raina. The officer promptly addressed the complaint on the directions of Director Tourism, Jammu-Dr. Vikas Gupta and secured the refund of the full amount for the Tourist. The Tourist has confirmed the receipt of refund and expressed gratitude to the Department of Tourism and the Tourist Office, Udhampur for their swift response.

Joint Director Tourism Jammu, Aijaz Qaiser has advised all the incoming tourists to reach out to the helpline anytime in case of any assistance and distress. The public is further requested to avail travel services only from the units registered with the Department of Tourism.
