For June 1 and 2, the department has forecast a brief spell of light rain or thundershower at isolated places. From June 4 to 6, the weather is expected to remain generally dry, with a possibility of brief rain or showers towards late afternoon at isolated spots.

Dr. Mukhtar further said that scattered rain or thundershowers are likely on June 7 and 8, particularly during afternoon hours.

The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory warning of possible moderate to heavy rain, thunder, and gusty winds at scattered locations across Jammu and Kashmir on May 31. It has also cautioned about landslides and mudslides at a few vulnerable places.

There is also a possibility of flash floods in isolated areas due to intense showers. The public has been advised to stay away from loose structures, electric poles, open cables, and old trees to avoid any mishaps. (JKNS)
