From June 1 to 2, the weather is likely to witness brief spells of light rainfall at isolated places. Between June 4 and 6, conditions are expected to remain mostly dry, though a few areas may experience evening showers, Dr Mukhtar said.

The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay alert as moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms may occur at scattered locations on May 30 and 31. There are also chances of landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas, along with the risk of flash floods due to intense showers in isolated regions.

People have been cautioned to stay away from loose structures, old trees, electric poles and hanging cables during this period. (JKNS)
