Govt Declares Summer Vacations for Degree Colleges in J&K

Kashmir colleges to remain closed from July 15 to July 24

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday announced summer vacations for Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory, including those in the Kashmir Division.

As per an official order issued by higher education department a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, all Government Degree Colleges of the Kashmir Division shall remain closed for summer vacations from 15th July 2025 to 24th July 2025.

For Jammu Division (Summer zone) The Government Degree Colleges of Jammu Division falling under the Summer Zone will observe their summer break earlier, from 1st June 2025 to 15th July 2025.

Jammu Division (Winter Zone) Colleges in the Winter Zone of Jammu Division will also observe a break aligned with the Kashmir schedule, from 15th July 2025 to 24th July 2025.

A senior official from the higher education department confirmed to JKNS that the Vacation period for Jammu and Kashmir colleges has been announced. (JKNS)
