DC Anantnag reviews Eid-ul-Adha arrangements, emphasizes coordinated public service delivery

ANANTNAG: In view of the Eid-ul-Adha festival, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Syeed Fakhruddin Hamid today chaired a meeting to review and finalize the necessary arrangements across the district.

The meeting, held at Dak Bunglow Khanabal Anantnag, aimed to ensure seamless provision of services and availability of essential commodities.

DC directed all the line departments to ensure effective delivery of services throughout the festive period. He also directed for the constitution of market-checking teams headed by Tehsildars and magistrates.

Executive Engineers of PDD and PHE were instructed to ensure that adequate backup arrangements are in place. Additionally, Municipal Authorities and Rural Development Department were directed to deploy sanitary workers to maintain cleanliness, particularly in and around prominent religious locations.

Chief Medical Officer was directed to ensure the deployment of medical teams as required, while the Transport department and Traffic Police were directed to devise and implement an effective traffic management plan.

The meeting was held to ensure that the government facilitation is available at all times for citizen centric governance.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Assistant Commissioners of Development and Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, Jal Shakti, Roads and Buildings and senior officials from other departments.
