“In order to ensure the objective of implementation of e-office 2.0 up to the Tehsil/Block level, all District Development Commissioners shall ensure the following,” the circular reads, listing detailed instructions under three major heads: Data Gathering and Compilation, Capacity Building, and Monitoring of Progress.

Under Data Gathering, the circular directs compilation of available IT infrastructure, details of officials for email creation, mapping of users into eOffice, and VPN access logistics. This data, as per the circular, must be submitted in soft format as per five annexures (Annexure A to E) to the designated email address at the earliest.

On training, it instructs DDCs to nominate 20 officials from each district for training on eOffice 2.0 who shall act as Master Trainers and help desk in their respective districts.

“The concerned DDCs shall monitor the progress of eOffice implementation up to Tehsil/Block Level and ensure its implementation with Technical support of all designated teams by or before 15th June, 2025,” it adds. A certificate to this effect must be submitted to the IT Department duly signed by District Level Team and countersigned by the Deputy Commissioner.

The circular further notes that all Administrative Departments, HoDs and DCs shall ensure basic IT infrastructure and internet connectivity (leased lines) are in place at Block/Tehsil Level offices, and adequate budgetary provisions are made where required.

“It is impressed upon all the District Development Commissioners to dispense with the manual processing of files in the districts and ensure adoption of eOffice 2.0 upto Tehsil/Block level, as per the fixed timelines,” it concludes. (JKNS)
