Kupwara: District Health Society Kupwara, in collaboration with the School Education Department and the Youth Services & Sports (YS&S) department, on Wednesday organized cycle rallies across various locations in the district as part of the ongoing Hypertension campaign.
The main event was held at the D.C office Kupwara, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad, flagged-off the rally.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and volunteers, all aiming to promote awareness about hypertension and healthy living practices.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara, Dr. Ramzan; Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara along with officers from the School Education, YS&S department and other officials were also present to lend their support to the campaign.
The rally commenced from the D.C. Office, passed through the General Bus Stand Kupwara, and concluded at Government Degree College Kupwara.
The event highlighted the importance of physical activity in preventing and managing hypertension and served as a vibrant display of community engagement in public health initiatives.
Similarly, ADC Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi flagged off a cycle rally from NTPHC Chogal under the Hypertension Campaign consisting of the students and different stakeholders.
Cycle Rallies were also conducted in several medical blocks of the district to spread the awareness about hypertension and healthy living practices.
