Indian Army Counsels Valley Students Pursuing Education Under JKSSS Scheme

Kupwara, 27 May 25:
Amidst the ever present tension, conflict and undercurrents of mutual suspicion and cynicism, the Indian Army Kupwara Terriers have yet again made its bid to reach out to the local community by interacting with those local students who are persuing various professional and technical courses under JKSSS Scholarship out side J&K (UT).

In this regard , Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriere organised an interaction cum counselling session for the local students undergoing technical and professional courses at Mewar University Rajasthan. A total of 11 students including 4 girls from Kupwara of 2023 – 2024 batches under JKSSS (Jammu Kashmir Special Scholarship Scheme) were present at the session.

This education scheme provides benefit to various underprivileged children of the remote areas of the valley.

It is notable that the Indian Army Kupwara Terriers has been aiding the underprivileged children of Jammu and Kashmir since years with the ain of mainstreaming the children of the valley by making them acquainted with the national culture and history to make them appreciate the diversity of the country better. With this the students not only get the best of education from any premier education institute in the country, but also got an opportunity to get to know the diverse culture of this great nation.

This interaction cum counselling session was conducted by Commanding officer Kupwara Terriers alongwith with other officers of Indian Army. The officers highlighted the importance of quality education in the modern era. He applauded the students for their efforts to make their dreams true. At last the Commanding Officer assured all students for any such kind of possible support in future.

The students expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army. They said that these civic initiative of Indian Army are playing significant role for development and in bringing normalcy to the valley.
