140 students participate in Inter-School Zonal Cricket Tournament at Kishtwar

Kishtwar: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the leadership of District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jaffer Haider Sheikh, successfully conducted an Inter-School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at Chowgan Ground, Kishtwar.
The event featured Under-14 and Under-17 Girls (Zone Kishtwar) and Under-14 Boys (Zone Nagseni), drawing vibrant participation from over 140 young athletes.
The tournament witnessed an impressive display of cricketing skills, discipline, and teamwork. Over 70 girls competed in the U/14 and U/17 categories, showcasing determination and sportsmanship that won the admiration of spectators and educators alike. Simultaneously, Zone Nagseni’s U/14 Boys competition featured intense matches with remarkable individual performances and close finishes.
Held at the Historic Chowgan Ground, the event underscored the district’s growing enthusiasm for school-level sports and provided a robust platform for nurturing young talent.
