Srinagar, May 23 (JKNS): Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo on Friday said that no final decision has been taken yet regarding the announcement of summer vacations for schools in Kashmir division.

“No Final Decision has been taken with regard to summer vacations. We are monitoring the situation closely. We can’t decide vacations based only on the current heatwave,” Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo said while speaking to reporters as per news agency JKNS

Minister Sakina added that in view of students facing difficulties during morning assemblies, the government has already modified school timings.

“We have adjusted school hours as an immediate step, and will decide about vacations depending on how the weather unfolds,” she said.

Meanwhile, Meteorogilocal department as per news agency JKNS said that Generally hot & dry with possibility of brief spell of light Rain at isolated places mainly towards late afternoon. (JKNS)
