Ganderbal: In order to raise awareness about admissions to three-year diploma engineering programmes in the polytechnic institutions of Jammu & Kashmir for the academic year 2025–26, one-day public awareness programme was held at Government Polytechnic College Ganderbal in collaboration with the District Administration Ganderbal.
The event was led by Er. Suket Gupta, Secretary of the J&K Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE), who addressed a diverse audience comprising students, parents, guardians, Chowkidars, Lumbardars, and other members of the local community.
In his address, Secretary outlined the various diploma-level engineering streams available under the Jammu & Kashmir Skill Development initiative, highlighting their role in equipping youth with essential technical skills.
Er. Gupta underscored the critical importance of diploma-level technical education in shaping the future of young learners, boosting employability, and contributing to both public and private sector growth. He also emphasized the increasing demand for skilled technicians and the key role diploma holders play in national development.
Er. ShafkatYousuf, Principal of Government Polytechnic College Ganderbal, along with other senior officials and representatives from JKBOTE engaged with attendees, offering detailed information on the admission process, eligibility requirements, and the range of diploma courses available, including Civil, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, among others.
A wide range of questions concerning course structure, career opportunities, fee details, and scholarship options were addressed thoroughly.
