Srinagar, May 20 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to approve and review projects under the Public Private Partnership for Agriculture Value Chain Development (PPPAVCD) Programme in the Union Territory.
According to the order a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department and will include members such as the Directors of Agriculture Jammu and Kashmir, Directors of Horticulture (Jammu/Kashmir and Planning & Marketing), concerned Deputy Commissioners, Director Research SKUAST, Jammu/Kashmir, the Convener of the UT Level Bankers’ Committee, and other key stakeholders.
The committee’s mandate includes examining, reviewing, and approving project proposals received under the PPPAVCD framework. It will also invite applicants to present their proposals and evaluate them based on alignment with UT priorities and overall programme goals.
The formation of this committee aims to streamline agricultural development by encouraging private participation in the value chain, ultimately benefiting farmers and boosting agri-based economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
