Kulgam: To assess the progress of various ongoing developmental works aimed at strengthening the educational infrastructure in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, on Monday visited Government Degree College (GDC) Kulgam.
During the visit, DC reviewed the construction work on the Additional Lecture Block, being executed at a cost of Rs. 4.79 crore, and the Auditorium Hall, being developed at a cost of Rs. 4 crore besides other ongoing developmental projects.
He directed the Executive Engineer of R&B to accelerate the pace of work and ensure timely completion of these projects, with a focus on maintaining quality standards to provide the best possible facilities to the students.
Khan emphasized the importance of timely completion of infrastructure projects to enhance the academic environment and support holistic development in the college.
DC was accompanied by ADC Kulgam Viqar Ahmad Giri, ACR, Executive Engineer R&B, Tehsildar Kulgam and other concerned officers.
