Srinagar, May 20 (JKNS): A three-year-old girl died after being critically injured in a hit-and-run accident involving an scooty rider at Awantabhawan Soura area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

An official told the news agency JKNS that the minor girl, identified as Nabeeha Safeer, daughter of Safeer Ahmad Bhat, resident of Hamza Colony Awantabhawan, was brought to SKIMS Soura in a critical condition. However succumbed to her injuries.

According to the statement of her attendant, the girl was hit by an unidentified scooty which fled the scene immediately after the accident, official said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and a case has been registered and Scooty rider has been arrested, further investigation started. (JKNS)
