Girl Dies, Father Injured as Gusty Winds Trigger Tree Collapse in Keller Shopian

Shopian, May 19 (JKNS): A tragic incident occurred in the Keller area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday evening after strong gusty winds caused a tree to fall on a tent, resulting in one fatality and an injury.

An official told news agency JKNS that the incident took place in the forest area of Gadder Chowan when an alpine tree fell on a tent due to gusty winds.

It is important to mention that gusty winds accompanied by heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in several parts of Kashmir on Sunday evening, causing damage to property and triggering power outages in various areas. (JKNS)
