In a gesture of respect and solidarity, the DC felicitated the tribal families with shawls and bouquets.
The DC also sensitized the tribal population about the “Dharti Aabha Janjatiya Gramin Utkarsh Abhiyan,” aimed at promoting awareness and ensuring the inclusive development of tribal communities.
The DC also interacted with the tribals to understand their difficulties and identify gaps under the Dharti Aabha Janjatiya Gramin Utkarsh Abhiyan as part of the IEC campaign.
It is pertinent to mention that, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the District Administration Kishtwar will launch the “Dharti Aabha Abhiyan: Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps” from 15th June to 30th June 2025 across various tribal villages in the district.
The objective of this campaign is to achieve saturation-level coverage of key government schemes and welfare programs for the tribal population, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
The DC emphasized the importance of active community participation and assured continuous support from the administration to address the unique needs of the tribal population.
SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh was also present on the occasion.
