New Delhi: Hours ahead of scheduled DGMO-level talks between India and Pakistan, top commanders from the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy jointly asserted that all Indian military installations are fully operational, combat-ready, and prepared to neutralize any future threats following Operation Sindoor.
In a rare joint press briefing, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai (Army), Air Marshal A.K. Bharti (IAF), and Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod (Navy) as per news agency JKNS said, “Our fight was and will remain against terrorists and their infrastructure, not against Pakistan’s army or its people.”
Missile Shields, UAV Kills, and Maritime Vigilance
They revealed that India’s integrated air defense network successfully intercepted multiple aerial threats on May 9 and 10. “No enemy aircraft breached our defense layers,” said Air Marshal Bharti, confirming the destruction of several drones, including Turkish-origin UAVs attempting cross-border incursions.
Vice Admiral Pramod noted that the Indian Navy remains on high alert in maritime zones, stating, “We have the capability to strike both at sea and on land. Pakistan couldn’t challenge our maritime dominance.”
Precision Strikes and National Synergy
The military leaders confirmed high-precision retaliatory strikes across enemy territory, including near Nur Khan Air Base and Rambhayr, aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics and command hubs. They praised “exceptional coordination” between Army, Air Force, Navy, BSF, and intelligence wings throughout the operation.
“Every soldier, from the top brass to the last jawan, stood united,” Lt Gen Ghai said, acknowledging massive national support and the willpower of 140 crore Indians.
Dismissal of Pakistani Claims, Readiness for Any Scenario
Responding to Pakistan’s denial over the killing of a known terror figure, Air Marshal Bharti said, “They can say anything to manage their domestic narrative. We don’t engage in propaganda. Facts are on the ground.”
He also recited a Hindi poem symbolizing resilience and reiterated India’s reliance on indigenous defense systems against emerging threats, including drone swarms and cyber warfare.
“Next Mission, Anytime, Anywhere”
While confirming India’s openness to DGMO-level dialogue, all three commanders echoed a common message: “Every war is different. The goal is to stay ahead of the adversary. We were ready, and we remain ready.” (JKNS)
