Rajouri, May 12 (JKNS): The Indian Army in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday launched a joint operation in Rajouri to safely neutralize unexploded artillery shells fired from across the Line of Control during recent cross-border shelling.

An army official told news agency JKNS, “The operation is aimed at clearing live shells from civilian areas to ensure the safety of the local population. Our bomb disposal squads are working closely with police teams to prevent any mishap.”

Meanwhile, Rajouri Police has also issued a public advisory, warning residents against touching or going near any suspicious or unexploded object. “Citizens must immediately report such findings to the authorities. Safety is our top priority,” the police said.

People have been asked to contact PCR Rajouri on 9596520120 or 01962-262515 in case they spot any such object. (JKNS)
