Srinagar, May 11 (JKNS): The situation in the border districts of Jammu division remained calm through the night, with no reports of drone activity, firing or shelling, officials said on Sunday morning.

A senior official told news agency JKNS that despite the heightened alert following recent ceasefire violations, the night passed without incident.
“The situation seems normal in Rajouri and Poonch and other districts. No drones, firing, or shelling was reported during the night,” the official said.

The calm follows a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan announced Saturday evening after US-mediated talks. However, hours after the agreement some ceasefire violations were reported from multiple forward areas on Saturday evening, prompting strong military response. (JKNS)
