Details available with news agency JKNS stated that the group comprises 96 male and 82 female pilgrims. He said the flight, numbered SG-5304, was scheduled to depart from Srinagar International Airport later in the day.

As the buses rolled out, the air filled with the heartfelt chant of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik,” leaving many in tears. An elderly pilgrim from Srinagar said, “This is a dream come true. May Allah accept our Hajj and keep our families in His protection.”

Officials said over 3,600 people from J&K will perform Hajj this year under the government quota.

Authorities have urged all pilgrims to follow airline instructions strictly, especially regarding luggage and prohibited items.

A young man accompanying his mother said, “She waited decades for this moment. Watching her leave was both overwhelming and beautiful.”

A female pilgrim expressed her gratitude with a smile, saying, “I’m so happy. May Allah protect Kashmir from all harm.” (JKNS)
