Jammu: The University of Jammu witnessed an exhilarating final day of the Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025–26, hosted at the Gymnasium Hall. The closing day featured the final matches of Carrom and Badminton, with enthusiastic participation from various departments in both men’s and women’s categories.
The tournament is being conducted under the aegis of the Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, with visionary leadership and supervision from Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, and seamless coordination by Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba emphasized the value of sports in a student’s life, noting that such events play a vital role in fostering a dynamic and positive campus culture. He underlined that participation in sports not only improves physical fitness, but also supports mental health, stress relief and personality development.
