Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, chaired a crucial meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress of various developmental projects being executed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) in the district.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Collector Land Acquisition for Rajouri-Poonch, Officer Commanding GREF 79 RCC and Tehsildar Surankote.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner received comprehensive updates on the progress, structural assessments and land acquisitions related to National Highway 144-A (Jammu to Poonch) and other road projects in the district. He emphasized the need for expediting the work on NH 144-A highlighting the importance of these projects for enhancing regional connectivity.
The DC urged the executing agencies to accelerate the removal of bottlenecks within the project alignments and to enhance their efforts to ensure the timely completion of all essential infrastructure.
He underscored that these initiatives are crucial for the overall development and well-being of the general public.
