Chairperson DDC B’la holds sector wise review meet, discusses issues concerning growth, welfare

Baramulla: Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safina Baig, on Monday chaired a council meeting at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla to review the progress of developmental activities and discuss issues concerning the district’s overall growth and welfare.
The meeting witnessed the presence of DDC members, senior district officers and sectoral heads.
A detailed sector-wise review was conducted covering key areas including health, education, rural development, public works, social welfare, and agriculture. Officers presented updates on ongoing projects, achievements and challenges faced in their respective sectors.
Chairperson Safina Baig emphasized the importance of timely completion of projects and called for enhanced inter-departmental coordination to ensure the effective delivery of services. She stressed the need for prompt redressal of public grievances and urged the officers to adopt a proactive and people-centric approach.
Members of the Council also raised various developmental concerns and suggested measures to address sector-specific gaps. The Chairperson assured that all genuine issues would be taken up for immediate redressal and directed concerned departments to expedite the pace of work wherever delays were observed.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment to work collectively towards the holistic development of Baramulla district and to further strengthen grassroots governance.
