Srinagar, Apr 25 (JKNS): The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has called upon authorities to act against those threatening and harassing Kashmiris across several states in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

In a statement issued on Friday, CPI(M) said, “At a time when the entire nation is united in condemning the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam, reports of threats and intimidation faced by Kashmiri students and traders in states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra are deeply concerning.”

The party noted that in Dehradun, several Kashmiri students were forced to return home after being targeted by a communal outfit. “There is also a growing wave of hate being spread on social media against Kashmiris and the minority community,” it said.

“The entire country has witnessed how Kashmiris have come together to denounce terrorism in one voice,” the statement read. “These divisive actions only serve the interests of terrorists.”

CPI(M) urged strict action against those attempting to disturb national unity. “There must be zero tolerance for those spreading fear and hatred in the name of retaliation,” the statement added. (JKNS)
