Srinagar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Kashmir Valley on Friday after deadly terror attack in Pahalgam and will be visiting to Annatnag hospital to enquire health of injured peraons.
Indian National Congress senior leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir confirmed the scheduled visit of Rahul Gandhi to Srinagar and Anantnag tomorrow to news agency JKNS.
“Rahul ji will be landing in Srinagar tomorrow, and will leave for Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag to enquire the health of several persons injured in the deadly attack who are currently undergoing treatment,” he said.
He will be back to Srinagar back, and will attend party function what so ever organsied by State Leaderahip, Mir said.
His visit is aimed at expressing solidarity with the victims and their families.
The visit comes in the wake of a horrific terror strike on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, in which more than 26 people lost their lives and several others were critically injured. The attack, widely condemned across the country, has triggered massive outrage and mourning, with political leaders cutting across party lines demanding strict action.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had condemned the attack and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. The Home Minister also assured full support to the Jammu and Kashmir administration in dealing with the situation and ensuring justice for the victims. (JKNS)
