Jammu : The ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Electoral Rolls in Assembly Constituencies 45 Anantnag and 63 Jammu West, which began on April 8, 2025, is set to conclude on April 24, 2025.
As per the provisions of the electoral framework, the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) have finalized the lists of claims and objections received during this period. These lists—compiled in Forms 9, 10, 11, 11A, and 11B—include requests for inclusion, deletion, corrections, and transpositions in the electoral rolls. To ensure complete transparency and active public participation, the lists have been prominently displayed on the notice boards of the offices of the respective EROs. Additionally, digital access to the lists has been facilitated through the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir, at www.ceojk.nic.in. The Chief Electoral Officer has urged all eligible voters in Constituencies 45 Anantnag and 63 Jammu West to review the published lists carefully and verify the accuracy of their information. Citizens are encouraged to come forward if they notice any discrepancy or need to file a claim or objection. Those who wish to raise objections or submit claims may directly approach the concerned ERO for their respective constituency. The process remains open until April 24, offering the public a crucial opportunity to help maintain the integrity and inclusiveness of the electoral rolls. The Chief Electoral Officer reiterated that an accurate and updated electoral roll forms the cornerstone of free and fair elections. Public participation in the revision process is not only a right but also a civic responsibility in a functioning democracy.
