Baramulla: In a strong display of unity and collective grief, members of civil society, traders’ federation, transport Association, staff members from Government offices, and concerned citizens of Baramulla Wednesday gathered together and participated in a protest march condemning the tragic killing of tourists in Pahalgam on Tuesday.
The march witnessed massive public participation with people from all walks of life gathered in solidarity, holding placards and banners expressing their anguish and support for the victims and their families.
With firm determination, the participants urged the authorities to swiftly identify and bring to justice those responsible for the heinous act. They demanded for stringent action under the full ambit of the law, ensuring such acts of violence are met with zero tolerance.
Participants condemned the attack in the strongest terms, expressing deep sorrow and extending heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.
The march stood as a powerful testament to Baramulla’s united stand against violence and its unwavering commitment to peace, justice, and communal harmony.
In a similar spirit, solidarity marches were held across various sub-divisions and tehsils of the district, reinforcing the collective voice of empathy and resilience in the face of tragedy.

Candlelight protest held across G’bal in solidarity with victims of Pahalgam attack
Ganderbal: In a powerful expression of solidarity and condemnation, residents of Ganderbal gathered Wednesday evening for a peaceful candlelight protest against the recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
People from various walks of life including civil society members, traders and youth came together in Sonamarg, Kangan and Clock Tower Duderhama, holding candles and placards to denounce the cowardly act of violence that claimed innocent lives and injured several others.
The protestors called for peace, unity, and strict action against those responsible for destabilizing the harmony in the valley.
They expressed grief over the loss of life and emphasized the importance of safeguarding the Valley’s long-standing tradition of hospitality and brotherhood.

Candlelight protest against gruesome attack on tourists in Pahalgam held across Kulgam
Kulgam: In a powerful expression of solidarity and condemnation, residents of Kulgam gathered this evening for a peaceful candlelight protest against the recent militant attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
People from all walks of life including civil society members, traders and youth came together in Kulgam, Qaimoo, Yaripora, D.HPora, Kund, Mohmadpora Areh, Pahloo Devsar and all other areas holding candles and placards to denounce the cowardly act of violence that claimed innocent lives and injured several others.
The protestors called for peace, unity, and strict action against those responsible for destabilizing the harmony in the valley.
They expressed grief over the loss of life and emphasized the importance of safeguarding the Valley’s long-standing tradition of hospitality and brotherhood.

Candlelight marches held across B’pora to condemn Pahalgam killings
Bandipora: Peaceful demonstrations in the form of candlelight marches were held across Bandipora district on Wednesday evening, condemning the recent civilian killings in Pahalgam.
In Bandipora town, a large number of people, including members of civil society, traders’ associations, transport unions and local residents gathered to express their grief and solidarity.
