Jammu: Prominent political leader Vivek Bali has made a heartfelt appeal to the government, urging immediate relief and assistance for the victims affected by the recent devastating floods in Ramban.

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of young lives due to the floods, Mr. Bali said, “The government must act swiftly and provide relief to the families of the teens who have lost their lives. This is not just a matter of compensation, but a step towards standing with them in this time of immense grief.”

He also highlighted the plight of people whose vehicles have been stranded on roads due to landslides and floodwaters, stating that the government must “take prompt action to rescue those stuck and ensure their safety.”

In addition, Mr. Bali strongly emphasized the need for the government to issue relief orders for individuals who have lost their homes and livelihoods in the disaster. “Many families are now homeless and jobless – they need urgent help to rebuild their lives,” he said.

He also highlighted the plight of people whose vehicles have been stranded or lost in the valley due to landslides and floodwaters, stating that many vehicles — including private cars, buses, and trucks — have either been stuck for days or swept away, causing severe hardship to their owners and affecting vital transportation.

Vivek Bali called for coordinated efforts from both central and UT administration to ensure that affected individuals are not left behind. He urged for quick assessments and immediate disbursement of aid to all those in need.

“The people of Ramban are in distress. This is the time for the government to show that it stands with its citizens,” he concluded.
