All Schools to Remain Closed Today in Kishtwar Due to Heavy Rainfall: CEO

Ramban: Authorities on Sunday announced that all government and private educational institutions including Schools, Colleges and technical educational institutions in Ramban district will remain closed on Monday in view of the inclement weather.

In a post on X, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, as per news agency JKNS, wrote, “In view of inclement weather and heavy rain causing flash floods, all Govt and Private Schools, Colleges & Technical Education Institutions of district Ramban shall remain closed on 21.04.2025. Stay indoors, stay safe!”

Earlier in the day, a cloudburst triggered flash floods near Chenab Bridge in Dharamkund area, leaving Three people dead and causing significant damage to several houses. Around 90 to 100 people trapped in the flooded area were rescued safely by police teams, while relief and assessment efforts are still underway. (JKNS)
