Srinagar, Apr 18 (JKNS): Authorities on Saturday suspended traffic movement on the Kishtwar-Sinthan National Highway via Sinthan Top due to adverse weather conditions and safety concerns.
According to an advisory issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chatroo, as per news agency JKNS stated that the decision was taken in view of heavy overnight rainfall, slippery road surface, and dense fog at Sinthan Top.
The India Meteorological Department has also forecast heavy rain and snowfall in the higher reaches over the next two days.
“No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Sinthan Top until further notice,” the advisory stated. The Station House Officer, Chatroo, has been directed to strictly enforce the no-entry order at the Parna Police Check Post, Chingam. (JKNS)
