Baramulla: Police on Saturday attached properties of two proclaimed offenders in Baramulla under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Police spokesperson in a statement issued to news agency JKNS reads that, in accordance with the orders of the Hon’ble Special Judge designated under UAPA, Baramulla, dated 17/04/2025, Police executed the attachment of properties belonging to accused involved in FIR No. 02/2008 under sections 2/3 EMICO Act, 120-B & 121 RPC, and Section 13 UA(P) Act, registered at Police Station Chandoosa.
The property attachment was carried out in presence of Executive Magistrate Kreeri and Fatehgarh, along with Numbardars and Chowkidars of the respective areas, as per legal procedure, it adds.
Statement reads, 01 Kanal 10 Marlas under Survey No. 264/min at Lalpora Laridora belonged to Abdullah Shah Bukhari, son of Syed Mohammad Yousuf, resident of Lalpora Laridora, while 13 Marlas under Survey No. 156/min at Takiya Yousuf Shah belonged to Ghulam Rasool Chopan, son of Abdul Salaam Chopan, resident of Takiya Yousuf Shah.
The police said this reflects their firm resolve to act against those involved in unlawful and anti-national activities, and the process of identifying and attaching more such properties will continue under due process of law.
