Army Personnel Dies of Electric Shock After Climbing Train Roof in J&K

Samba, Apr 15 (JKNS): An army personnel died on the spot after receiving a high-voltage electric shock while traveling on top of a train in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday.

An official told news agency JKNS that the unit was moving from Bari Brahmana to Shikandrabad when the soldier reportedly climbed onto the roof of the train. He came in contact with an overhead high-tension wire and died on the spot due to electrocution.

The deceased has been identified as Gdsm Ramchandra Choudhary, 24, a resident of Shree Krishan, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He was posted with the 125 BN Territorial Army in Srinagar.

Authorities have initiated the necessary medico-legal formalities, and further investigation into the incident is underway. (JKNS)
