Doda: Government Girls High School Pul Doda on Saturday organized school-level intramural house competitions in the recess break under the banner of the Fit India Movement and the School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
The events aimed to promote physical fitness, team spirit and active participation among students. A series of competitions were held to encourage students to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, in alignment with the goals of the nationwide Fit India initiative.
The events were conducted under the supervision of Incharge Headmaster Indu Bhushan Razdan, with active support from staff members including Swami Raj (Master), Akhter (Teacher), Touseef Ahmed (Teacher) and Firdous Hussain (Teacher).
Among the various competitions, the Kho-Kho and Kabaddi matches for boys under 17 years of age were the major highlights. Both events were fiercely contested and were ultimately won by Eco House, showcasing the strength, coordination, and sportsmanship of its participants.
The competitions were a grand success, thanks to the collective efforts and coordination of the school staff. The events also helped build leadership qualities, discipline, and mutual respect among students from different houses. Such intramural activities contribute significantly to students’ overall personality development alongside their academic progress.
