DC Kulgam inspects ongoing works at JNV site, Transit accommodations at Mirhama

DM directs executing agencies to expedite pace of work & ensure quality standards are maintained

Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Thursday conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing developmental work projects at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) construction site in Mirhama, Kulgam.
It was informed that the project, construction of Phase A and B works at JNV Kulgam, is being developed at a cost of Rs. 35.30 crore.
The school is coming up on 143 kanals of land, allotted specifically for the purpose in Mirhama.
During the visit, DC took detailed stock of the physical progress of the project and issued directions to expedite the pace of work while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
He also visited the transit accommodation which is under the execution of R&B Department at Mirhama. The project comprises 12 blocks housing a total of 192 flats, out of these, 3 blocks have been completed so far.
The transit accommodation project is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 28.40 crore.
Accompanying the DC were ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; ACR, Executive Engineers, Tehsildar Kulgam and other officers.
