Srinagar: A daily-wage lineman of the Power Development Department (PDD), who sustained critical injuries after falling from an electric pole in south Kashmir’s Pampore, succumbed at SKIMS Soura on Wednesday, five days after the incident.

The deceased, Mohammad Yousuf Dar, a resident of Gooripora Barsoo village, was repairing an electric line in the Frestabal area of Pampore on April 5 when he slipped and fell from a pole, sustaining grievous injuries.
He was immediately shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, where he remained in critical condition. “Despite best efforts by doctors, he passed away today,” the official said. (JKNS)
