Husband-Wife Killed, Four Family Members Injured in Doda Road Accident

Doda: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a husband and wife, while four other members of the same family sustained injuries on on the Sader Bagh Alsi stretch of the Doda-Ramban road, between Kastigarh and Bhartund Chakka on Wednesday.

An official told news agency JKNS that an accident occurred on Sader Bagh Alsi stretch of the Doda-Ramban in which two people died while four others were injured.

The deceased have been identified as Liaqat Ali, son of Manzoor Ahmad Malik, and his wife Asia Bano, residents of the area, official said.

The couple’s three sons, Bilal Ahmad, Sarfaraz Ahmad, Anzer Ahmad and daughter Tanzila were injured in the mishap and have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken, and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway. (JKNS)
