Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan convened a meeting with officers from various line departments and representatives of banking institutions here on Tuesday to review the implementation of credit-linked schemes under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme.
The meeting focused on assessing the performance matrix, sanctioning and disbursement status of cases under HADP in the district.
The DC directed all concerned departments and banks to ensure maximum outreach, covering every farmer and farming family in the district under these schemes.
He set the target of 1500 registrations in different schemes with credit linkage and disbursement before the end of this month.
Khan emphasized the need for block-level credit outreach camps to raise awareness among farmers about beneficiary-oriented schemes.
He reiterated that achieving the desired targets in the agricultural sector requires the proactive involvement of banks in providing hassle-free credit facilities to farmers.
He further underscored the necessity of strong coordination between banks and government departments to ensure credit linkage and seamless implementation of schemes benefiting the farming community.
The meeting was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACD, CPO and other officers.
