One Dead, Three Injured in Bijbehara Road Accident

Anantnag: One person died and three others sustained injuries in a road accident near the Fruit Mandi area of Jablipora, Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.

A police official told news agency JKNS, that the accident occurred on the National Highway when a truck collided with a car resulting in the death of Irfan Ahmad, a resident of Mirbazar, Anantnag.

The injured have been identified as, Nadeem Ahmad Dar, son of Nazir Ahmad, resident of Sether. Khursheed Ahmad, son of Ab Rashid, resident of Khonmoh and Jasif Hassan, son of Gh Hassan Dar, resident of Sangam.

All three were shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment. Their condition is said to be stable, he said.

Cognizance of the incident taken and further investigation into the accident has started. (JKNS)
