DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Ramnavmi

Emphasizes cleanliness, security & effective crowd management

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting of district officers to review and finalise the arrangements for the smooth and peaceful celebration of Ramnavmi in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner took a comprehensive review of sanitation, security, water and power supply, traffic and crowd management, and fire safety measures to ensure that the festivities are conducted in a safe and organized manner.
The DC directed the Executive Officer MC to ensure proper sanitation in the town, particularly around temples and congregation sites. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness during the religious festivities.
To ensure public safety, the DC instructed the concerned authorities to deploy adequate security personnel at key locations. He also reviewed the arrangements for uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the festival and called for the deployment of water tankers wherever necessary.
Directions were also issued for proper traffic and crowd management to avoid congestion, especially near temples and market areas. The Fire & Emergency Services Department was asked to conduct fire emergency drills and ensure the availability of fire tenders at vulnerable spots.
The Deputy Commissioner specifically reviewed the arrangements at prominent religious sites including Mangla Mata and Mangla Devi temples. He stressed upon the need for vigilance and preparedness at all locations where large gatherings are expected.
To regulate prices and maintain quality, the DC directed the concerned officials to conduct market inspections and keep a check on overpricing and sale of substandard items.
Further, the DC instructed the ADCs to monitor and ensure timely execution of all arrangements falling under the jurisdiction of their respective departments.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure hassle-free and joyous Ramnavmi celebrations for the devotees.
ADDC Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa; ACR, Mohd Jahangir Khan; Additional SP, Bikram Kumar; CMO, Manohar Rana; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti; EO Municipality; AD Fire & Emergency Services, other sectoral officers, and President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Rajouri, Nishu Gupta, along with Secretary Sanatan Dharam Sabha also attended the meeting.
