DC B’la reviews implementation of PM Vishwakarma scheme, directs officers to clear pendency

Baramulla: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in the district.
During the meeting, the DC directed all concerned officers to clear pending cases to ensure the seamless execution of the scheme.
To streamline the process, the DC instructed the Principal ITI Baramulla to share the list of beneficiaries with the Lead Bank Office for the timely release of stipends. He also emphasized the need for increased outreach and awareness, directing officials to organize awareness camps to encourage more beneficiaries to apply under the scheme.
Furthermore, the DC stressed the importance of regular monitoring and directed that at least one meeting per month be conducted to clear pendency at Stage 1 at both the Panchayat and Urban Local Body (ULB) levels.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Baramulla, Javed Ahmad besides other senior officers from various departments, including representatives from the ITI, banking sector, and other key stakeholders involved in the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
