CM Omar Calls NC, Alliance Partners Crucial Meeting Amid Controversy Over LG’s Transfers

Srinagar: The National Conference (NC) Legislative Party and its alliance partners will be having a high-stakes meeting on April 4 under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Chief Whip Mubarak Gul, in a communique addressed to party legislators and allies a copy assessed by news agency JKNS reads that Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Legislative Party meeting along with the Alliance partners will be held under the chairmanship of Mr. Omar Abdullah, Leader of the House, on 4th April 2025 at 11:00 AM at the official residence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister (Fairview, Gupkar, Srinagar).

Meanwhile, Sources privy to the development told JKNS that discussions will focus on several pressing issues, particularly the recent transfer of 48 officers by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha—a move that was previously within the Chief Minister’s domain.

It is important to note that on Eid day, LG Manoj Sinha ordered a large-scale reshuffle of 48 officers, drawing criticism for allegedly undermining the authority of the elected government. (JKNS)
